Thank You For Visiting Us At BOATSHOW 2010

We thank all visitors who came to see us at our stand during the BOAT SHOW 2010.
We received a lot of compliments for our new BRIG Falcon 570, and our customers certainly showed great interest in the photos and drawings which we showed of our new BRIG Eagle 780 which is almost ready for presentation and will be introduced to our dealers/distributors in June 2010. Existing BRIG Eagle customers will certainly not be disappointed when they see the further development of Eagle 645 which is constantly being complimented on design and sailing capabilities.
Apart from finishing the BOATSHOW 2010 we delivered 1 pc. Pro 520 in snow and sleet to a German customer who defied the winter weather and collected this professional vessel in Korsør, a vessel which will have more than 250 days at sea every year – perhaps that is the very reason why they chose our Pro 520 built of hypalon tube and fibre glass – and a total project/delivery time of 5 weeks.

Fast Inflatable Boat for Fun at Sea

At the exhibition ”Både i Bella” Pro-Safe will exhibit the brand new inflatable boat from Brig. Brig Falcon 570 is manufactured in Europe – and there are NOT many European manufacturers left, you mainly see productions from the Far East.
The solid boat is mounted with an 80 HP Yamaha 4-stroke outboard engine and with the unique engine immobiliser system from Yamaha. At their stand Pro-Safe will also exhibit a 10-year old Brig which is still in good shape despite heavy use during all these years.
The new Falcon 570 is of the best brand and can, apart from serving as boat No. 2, be used by sailing and diving clubs, for water skiing, etc.
It has a 100 litres built in fuel tank fitted under the floor, room for gear in a big compartment in the console, and a seat. The weight is approx. 400 kg, and the boat goes 35 knot with 80 HP mounted on the stern. It is CE-certified for 120 HP and will then go well over 40 knots. Price 64.900 DKK.

New RIB Model - And the Exhibition “Både I Bella” Is Drawing Close

For certain markets our customers have other demands than those which can be obtained by the BRIG Falcon 620 model, and therefore our Pro 600 has been successful for some years where we have sold >15 pcs. BUT the time has come for a facelift, and therefore the vessel has been prolonged by approx. 25 cm, and the RIB hull has been redesigned.
The vessel is approved for 150 HP engine and will have a weight from 430 kg – as well as a working load of 1600 kg – please contact us for further information.
Please remember that we are present at “Både I Bella” from 27th February till 7th March at stand C1-001.

The vessel was tested on the Great Belt on one of the absolutely coldest days in January – and it was sheer pleasure to feel the sailing qualities of this vessel.

New Brands And “Både I Bella”

Exiting Brands

We were very happy in Korsør when we could make an agreement with Oceanic just before Christmas regarding sales of their exiting diving products.

The photo shows Klaus Gasser (Oceanic) and Søren West (Pro-Safe) shaking hands on a good future cooperation on the Danish market regarding the brands Aeris, Hollis, and Oceanic.

Already now in early January 2010 we can show the products in our showroom here in Korsør where we have e.g. a full programme of diving computers from Oceanic, but we can now also offer equipment for the professional diver via the products from Hollis.

BOAT SHOW 2010 – 27/2 till 7/3

We shall also exhibit a few diving products at the coming exhibition where you will find us at stand No. C1-001.

Test Sailing the FRB 750

This week we have made the first test sailings with our FRB 750.

The vessel is built with e.g. STEYR inboard diesel engine and waterjet – and will be SOLAS approved as Fast Rescue Boat.

We shall introduce this product in further detail here on our website – but we can at present inform you that the top speed will be approx 32 knots with 4 persons onboard, and we look forward to showing you photos when the vessel is ready.

We also refer to our “INFORMATION” page which during the next few weeks will be updated with a lot more information – including 2010 prices, data sheets, manuals, etc.

Rescue Service Appreciates Quality

This week the manager of the company, Søren West, returned from Germany with good references and feedback from the German rescue service which praised our deliveries highly. And at the same time these circles were greatly astonished that a similar organization in Denmark chose products from China – and they were unable to understand how adaptations/modifications/certifications could be managed at such a long distance – but as one person said: “then Denmark must have a shorter way to China than we have from Germany!”

Of course we also feel the present decline in our business lines, but can inform you, however, that we can still show positive economic results – and we need no profits for subsidiary companies etc. to create a positive operation!

Next week we shall participate in the boat exhibition in Genoa where BRIG will hold a meeting for their distributors, and where we shall e.g. go through the details concerning the coming Eagle 780.
This week we deliver e.g. 1 pc. RIB 5.80 metre with 100 HP Yamaha, and just to-day we have received an order for a 6 metre RIB with 150 HP engine. Our “hotdeal” will be updated within approx. 1 week.

Coated Lead and New Working Vessel Delivered

These 2 inputs are good sign of our wide variety of activities:

Right now we are shipping our lead-products to diving customers all over Northern Europe. The restrictions regarding the use of lead have become far more strict – so today our products are fully coated and comply with the environmental regulations, and at the same time our prices are very interesting – please contact larsen@pro-safe.dk for a price quotation.

At the same time we have finished a custom made Pro 480 for the English market where lifting device, built-in tank, approval according to MCA regulations were requested – and with delivery within 5 weeks.

This is really where the sheep/suppliers are separated from the goats – and it is very obvious that such projects cannot possibly be handled, if the production takes place in China, North America or other remote places. You are welcome to contact west@pro-safe.dk for further information.

Tent Camp Delivered

10 years ago Pro-Safe was involved in deliveries of inflatable tents – and since then we have been involved in a number of projects where these products are preferred.
The inflatable tents are easily erected and are used as e.g. waiting space at major traffic accidents, fires, etc. And there are no aluminium/iron constructions of any kind which make them heavy and slow to erect.
The tents are also used as a complete camp concept where they are integrated with locks – and other facilities such as kitchen, IT-room, toilets and sleeping cabins are established.
The tents are self-erecting and are built with “tubes” as we know from the inflatable boats, so that the single arches are inflated and form the foundation of the tent construction to which air-condition, heat, mosquito nets, sun shades, etc. are attached.

Pro 570 has been introduced

In July we made the last CE tests and we can now show the new model “Pro- 570” which lies between our Pro 520 and Pro 600. The vessel is approved with engine up to 150 HP and has a hull construction very similar to the popular Pro 520 of which we have sold more than 30 pcs during the last 2 years.

The Pro 740 is also shown, and in the photo you can clearly see the amount of buoyancy of the hull WITHOUT persons. The shown vessel is mounted with a 150 HP engine and has a tank capacity of 200 litres – and is the next step in the family after Pro 520, Pro 570, and Pro 600.

BRIG Introduces New Falcon Model

The Falcon 500 model has been sold to a large number of customers in Denmark during the last 10 years, and now we introduce a model just below the Facon 620 model (which appeared last year) – the BRIG Falcon 570.
The model as a standard has en built-in tank of 90 litres and the suggested price will be 63.900 DKK.
To this can be added various types of consoles/seats, etc.

Rescue Vessel to the Faroe Islands

Early this summer we held a training in cooperation with BUKH Steyr at the Faroe Islands where our Pro 610 with waterjet and diesel engine is used for rescue operations on one of the southern islands. At the training the characteristics, engine construction, and daily maintenance of the vessel were described.
The more advanced the vessel – the more important it is to establish a system of daily maintenance routines.

Pro-Safe wins again in the football field.

With routine and a little coolness you can go a long way – and last week the close-knit Pro-Safe team showed that despite old legs they are not prepared for early retirement – Pro-Safe won 18-0 in the Københavns Firma Sport 7-man football tournament.

Pro-Safe has played in this tournament during a number of years and know what it takes to do well over a long period and sometimes in difficult situations – and NOT only in the football field.

At present a lot of things happen in our line of business - negative ones too – and we can only urge potential customers to examine the level of safety you get from the company you are dealing with.

Already this year there have been cases where companies suspend their payments – and start again shortly afterwards under mainly the same company name and website.

So to stay in the world of football – “the red card” does not always mean a long quarantine to make new offences.

In the photo you can see our Pro 850 with 350 HP. Right now we are building 2 pcs of its “little brother”, Pro 740, one of them with 150 HP Yamaha, and the other one with 60 HP twin mounting.
Both solutions are built of fibre glass with hypalon tubes as used by professional users of RIB boats all over the world!

Germany Says Thank You for a New Rescue Boat

In the beginning of April Deutsche Lebens Rettungs Gesellschaft (DLRG) collected their new Pro 480 from our premises in Korsør.
The vessel was made of fire resistant materials and hypalon tube and is a small wellfunctioning rescue vessel of approx. 500 kg with 50 HP Yamaha engine which is easily launched at rivers, coastal areas, etc.
In April we shall deliver several BRIG Falcon 500 and Pro 520 to a local rescue service.
We are also going to deliver several 4.20 metre SOLAS approved MOB boats which we have in stock for immediate delivery – please contact michael@pro-safe.dk for prices.

In Norway They Use Pro-Safe Rescue Boats

Last Friday the Danish news media showed a violent landslide in the Norwegian village Namsos where several people had a bad scare and saw their homes being washed away by the water/mud masses.

Our Rescue series has been delivered in a number of varieties to Danish rescue services – and some years ago we delivered more than 12 vessels to various rescue stations in Norway.
Pro-Safe currently delivers vessels to professional customers and has built up a know-how in this field over the last 10 years which no other Danish suppliers can match. We are now working at top speed at the boatshow in Fredericia – please visit us at stand D-3100 during the last weekend where the exhibition opens Friday at 13.00 hrs.

During the first days of 2009 we carried out test sailings with Falck rescue teams who were very impressed by the performance of our new BRIG Falcon 620 during the test sailings in Korsør. In the same period we delivered 2 smaller BRIG Falcon 500 which has become a standard vessel at many Falck stations.
In the period 15th-18th January we held an internal company seminar, this time in London – we held our meetings at the International Hotel in maritime surroundings in the old dock areas which have been renovated over the last decades and now constitute a thrifty business district.
We also had the possibility to visit London Boatshow where we saw the new collections from Crewsaver (see for yourself at: www.crewsaver.co.uk ). A party at the canal boat “G.A.K G.A.K ZODIAC” on the Thames ended some good working days where the course was set for all 27 participants for the coming months where we shall not be able to set “the direction and strength of the wind”, but we can adjust “the spread of the sails”!

HAPPY NEW YEAR
2009 has now begun and we can already now reveal several exciting project for the coming months.

Pro-570 will be introduced sometime in April – this vessel will be a bigger brother of our very well-sailing Pro-520. The cast has been made – and we have great expectations of this vessel which will be a good working vessel of a suitable size, which can still be trailed.

Pro-700 is a completely new concept from us where we have chosen to use some of the lines which are typical from English manufacturers – a very deep V-hull. The vessel will be fitted with hypalon tubes, and we shall have it CE-certified to 225 HP.

Pro 150 Advance is our new lifejacket with “control function” where the sailor can easily see whether the cartridge and release are fitted correctly. Furthermore it is lined with comfortable fleece at the neck – and the lifejacket is delivered in a good carrier bag – the retail price will be DKK 799,-.

On 8th January Pro-Safe will be 10 years – quite a lot has happened since we started in rented rooms in a basement on Amager at DKK 1.400,- per month till now where our premises and activities are at a somewhat different level. BUT coming from scratch to a turnover during the last 6 years of more than 30 million DKK per year – this gives us some tools which will be most relevant for the coming years where things will not happen spontaneously…..
